 Youth for Sunday School!

 Children and Youth

At First Presbyterian Church of Glen Cove we believe that children and youth are an integral part of the life of our church.  "The Children's Message" is a special time set aside each Sunday during worship to nurture and speak to them.  In addition, special activities are planned to encourage their participation in Sunday services throughout the year.  Sunday School is offered after "The Children's Message" (see below) and childcare is provided for those too young to attend Sunday School.  Activities are in the works in association with our annual "Children's Sabbath" and for our "First Annual Congregational Retreat."  Please see tabs at left for more information on these events and if you have not already signed up for the retreat we are encouraging everyone to sign up as soon as possible.

Confirmation classes for youth are offered in the fall (see below), and youth wishing to join the church as members are confirmed in a special service during Sunday worship in the spring.

Children and Youth Sunday School
Children and Youth Sunday School is held on Sunday mornings following "The Children's Message" and the Sunday School teachers typically lead the children to the appropriate Sunday School classroom after this segment of the service. The Sunday worship begins at 10:00 am and "The Children's Message" is usually presented around 10:15 am.  For more information on Children's and Youth Sunday School please leave a message for Pam Tobol at fpcglencove@verizon.net  or call the church office at (516) 671-0258.

Confirmation Class
Beginning in September, all youth in 6th grade or older are invited to join our Confirmation Class led by the Pastor.  For more information on the class, please contact Rev. Betsy Simpson at ekfsimpson@optonline.net or call the church office at (516) 671-0258.
